I just wanted to say that for the record I participated somewhat in the good ol' American tradition of the super bowl day.

I watched from the 2nd quarter onwards whilst doing some nursing homework. I wanted to see the Avatar trailer (not the blue people avatar, the shyamalama avatar) but that was apparently at the beginning. Its ok cause Ive obviously seen the trailer, I just wanted to see it on a bigger screen 8|

and we had some pizza and chips and dip and cookies and I ate way too much.

I didnt see any good super bowl commercials either 8P

I didn't sleep well last night. My thumb was throbbing at 3:40 and kept me up the rest of the night. I thought I busted a vein at first. But you'd be surprised at how hard it is to sleep when you can feel the vein inbetween your forefinger and thumb pulsate. So now I'm really tired but I got my grade for my last nursing exam. Got an 88! Which is nice. Woulda been an A but I did dumb things. And my room now has a couch and my tv is being mounted to the wall and herder will be here sometime today.

I got out of nursing early today which was very nice. The day actually felt like it went by pretty fast, I wasnt staring at the clock all that much. I have my first dosage calculation quiz next week. Im trying my darndest to get atleast a 90 however I keep messing up on rounding. Its stupid stuff like reading the directions. I just have to remember that drops need to be a whole number because it makes no sense to have a weirdo decimal on drops, and kids dosages you round to the hundredths and adults the tenths. And then ofcourse watch me do something really dumb like forget to put mg or ml on my answer. I need to find moar practice problems.

I got home and I had to go pick up Morgan from some afterschool program I didnt know she was going to be in and Ethan needed to use the car in like 10mins...but nobody knew wtf this afterschool program took place. I walked all around her school and none of the teachers still there were helpful but half it wasnt there fault as my sisters teacher kept walking around the school too as I was walking around. I think it was because I was super uber late picking her up but I had no idea when that thing even ended...It was just annoying. Then being reminded that so and so needed the car and Im like "I dont even have the darn child!"

I really dont want to go to class tomorrow. If I felt comfortable going in PJs I would. That class makes me so angry.

I really gotta catch up on my nutrition but Im getting tired of answering the same essay questions worded differently depending on the chapters.

oh and my sirius radio died. My car is radio-less! I dont know what the local stations are but thats find because I refuse to listen to commercials. Making sure I bring my ipod from here on out.

I posted this yesterday on my facebook. Ms Daisy with our next door neighbor. Daisy puts her feet in the snow and ofcourse would sink in and then fall over and Id have to go rescue her.

We still have alot of snow on the ground but the roads are pretty clear. We were really considering getting Morgan a snowboard but it was too late so shes been sledding/boarding on an oilpan down the hill in our backyard.

Was alot of fun to watch.

Thursday night knox county closed all public schools for inc snow on Friday. There was supposed to be alot of it and I had a nursing test that day and on one hand missing it due to snow is kinda cool but on another you really dont want to have to make up another day of class.

Well I woke up at 7am yesterday morning to check my school email and class had not been cancelled. I looked out the window and there was no snow at all.

So I went to class and it didnt even start snowing til 2:30 and it wasnt even sticking to the ground til I got home around 3:30.

wonder what the public school dude who called school off was thinking. "...oh gawd, theres no snow! snoooooow prrrrz!"

but then the snow started falling later in the day. I love these news people, I think those northern states would be laughing at us "OMG! theres a snow flake! STAY OFF THE ROAD SAVE YOURSELVES"

woke up this morning and everything is white and our satellite is down and we have no tv. Nooooow Ill start complaining about the snow.

We were supposed to go to Nashville for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. And we got them a very nice sheetcake!


I think it looks nice for a sheet cake atleast. I was really happy with the way it came out cause we didnt know what we wanted to begin with :3 nyay walmart peoples.

but the snow if preventing us from visiting. Kinda figures aye.

Dad went on a mad search for a sled yesterday and I guess there was a waiting list at some store and nobody else had any. So my siblings opted to sled in a rectangle laundry basket instead lol!

I am slowly getting my computer back to "normal" Ive reinstalled PS7 and did FF11 last night. FF11 didnt take as long as I thought it would. The internet interrupted it once when it said 5 hours left and when I started it up again it was at 2hours :D I had FF running at almost midnight. Took about 5 hours to install I think.

I found my old windower macros, thank gawd. I thought I might have deleted that old windower file but I didnt. So I have gear swaps. I still need to check to see if I can recover the macro macros like I was told I could ;)

and I think my game is running faster. I want to mess with the registry again to see if it lags really uber like it used to. At the moment I had shadows and everything else on really high and Daus was zooming all over the place. But its not like I was in dynamis or anything.

Dad wanted to see if it looked better and..uhh..I dont really think it does. The game is old and made for dialup users and all that lol. But I think I notice a difference in lag.

I hope this will prevent my game from freezing as often as it used to cause I do like to multitask.

Im going to reinstall microsoft office next :P cause its hard not having it.


oh and also on FF11 before I reinstalled it I logged into my sisters computer to check my lottery marbles. Nyeah didnt win again^^ just like in real life! the rank 3 winning number was 733, I had marbles 732 and 734...lol curses. I got the shadowlord statue consolation prize, which is a huge disappointment. I shoulda gone with the exp scroll instead! I was tempted to go for a battlefield slip but I was afraid it'd sit in my inventory and never get used.

Really sleepy! I left the house at 6 this morning, got to the hospital at 6:30 and wanted to go back to bed lol.

I had a frappuccino but I ended up buying a dr pepper for more caffeine.

I didnt actually manage to go to bed til 11 and then I think I was up literally every hour having to pee. So I really dont think I got much sleep at all.

but in class we played with taking blood pressures and moving mannequins and asking health history questions.

I think I did something really dumb. On the test we took on friday I didnt realize we wouldnt be getting our scantrons back and that we were supposed to also write our answers on our test. Well now I feel like a doof. I dont think Ill know what I got right and wrong >< whoops

and I guess I had more homework due then I thought, It said chapters 44 and 46? but I thought that just meant read them, not answer the questions. So I gotta do that and turn them in friday when I have my other exam! and I got some rubbing alcohol and bandaids, we're shipping them off to haiti and it counts as community service. I gotta figure out how to carry all that in too.

Today I was asked if I could get home around 4 cause Ethan needed the car and since my class ends at 3 and home is 15 mins away, I was like "ofcourse". Figures that class would run 15mins late and then we had to wait for the shuttle bus who also had to wait 10mins to fill up to full capacity (and there were like 5 employees who wanted on for our 2 extra seats..dude I was not going to get off that bus, luckily he didnt ask us too..think thats a morning only thing)

and then I hit every red light on the way home. Figures!11one I did get here at exactly 4 though still 8) so all was good.

anyways, now Im sleepy. Im trying to install openoffice because I dunno where my microsoft office went too and I kinda need it.

Dad spent all day yesterday building my new computer and spent hours trying to install windows 7 and it's finally installing now.

Think I still have all my art files but I maaay have to reinstall ff11 /death this is when I shoulda taken someones advice and bought the new and cheap collection set thing cause I'm looking at like 15 hours of reinstall time. And oh gawd my macros ><

Have to probably reinstall PS and OC also. I'm unsure were my ps disk is.

these are kind of fun recently. I had alligator not too long ago. They were were small bits that looked and tasted like popcorn chicken :3 Id consider that unusual for me. Ive never been much more adventurous then that.

Ive never gotten sick from anything that I know of either.

I came home and went out to the store with my dad real fast and when I got home again I asked when the dog went out and soooomebody forgot to let her out, she hadnt gone out since 11 and its almost 5...that just kinda makes me really po'd.

Rachel got her costume for honor/color/winter guard. I forget which one she's in but she's so darn cute. She has a competition tomorrow.

and Morgans sick 8| again. That child gets sick more than any child Ive ever known.

p.s. I was surprised to hear today was Conans last night on the tonight show. I am a Jay Leno fan but I have nothing against Obrien so daaaang, all I can say is good luck. Something tells me that this wont be the end of this though, if Jay doesnt get his old audience back then ick...

obviously my dogs name is Daisy and I tend to use it when Im on the interwebz. My dog is indeed g[b]o[/b]ld but the entire name came from a name generator cause all other names are taken.

I really need a new lj name me thinks. Eventually everything will be converted to Daus equivalents.

Took my first nursing exam this morning. I dont really have test anxiety except last semester in physiology but Im not sure if Id classify that as anxiety as I would anger...cause I know stuff generally works out for me for the better. Although maybe I should have moar anxiety in nursing? I didnt know what exactly this first exam would look like or what stuff would be covered so I did reread my notes, outlines, and the book to the best of my ability but as Ms Jessica said "how can you possibly be so calm?" Maybe If I knew what was on the test and purposefully didnt look/study at anything, then Id probably be peeing myself 8( but I did study the material, I just cant help it if I focussed too much on the wrong material.

I do get semiworried during and after tests though when I realize I should have gone over something else better. For this test I didnt go over the handouts..like at all...uhhhh..I did look over the book alot though. I only felt worried when others start second guessing themselves after the test because its contagious. I feel good until somebody starts telling me the answers they put.

I dont know if the test was hard per se. It was multiple choice, but it was really "oh crap, A and B both sound good...which to choose which to choose?" so alot were pretty 50/50 and I know Im not getting a 100 but atleast I know a bit more what the next test is going to be like! which is next week and I dont have nearly as much time to prepare for it aaaaand I had to miss lecture today.

the hospital was really busy. Darn make up days.

My anatomy test was pretty basic and review-y but it doesnt mean I cant make really stupid mistakes. This one was my favorite and headbash worthy. Guys, what is the study of the function of the body? did I not suffer enough through that class to know that its physiology? so why in the world did I mark it as anatomy? fffffffffffff

I went to oodles of different schools and Ive heard "my school sucks" from every person I ever met...but I think really nobody knows why they think their school sucks they just assume other places are better.
I went to preschool in Japan
2 different schools from kindergarten-4th grade in Lubbock, Texas.
5th grade in Peoria, Az.
6th-9th grade in Fayetteville, NC
2 different schools for 10-12th grade in Albuquerque, NM

and ofcourse Ive been to different colleges in NM, AZ and now TN.

I dont know how to sit down in one place!

I had lots of close friends in elementary and middle school. It wasnt so hard to make new friends at those ages, our interests were basically on cartoons so its easy to find stuff in common. Instant Messaging and stuff wasnt exactly in existence..or I wasnt old enough to know about it and use it so when I moved that was essentially the end of those friendships lol which is kinda really sad. Teenagers these days are of the generation that have never not known instant messaging and the internet so Id assume they're better at holding onto old friends. I do still keep in contact with several close friends I knew from my freshman year :3

Highschool sucked though. It was really hard to join groups when their friend groups were essentially closed to new members...plus I didnt have a car or anything so its not like I could do much with people if I wanted to. I didnt have many people to talk to and was lonely and thankful for when we moved from there. College is alot easier to meet and befriend people :P

The worst part about moving so much I think was I had alot of first day experiences and I think a majority of them were really bad lol >.>

anyways, first 2 tests of the semester tomorrow. I should be reviewing my nursing material but I have no idea whats going to be on that test. The worst that can happen is that Ive been focusing on the wrong stuff.

Avatar in 3d was amazing. Though I dont know if my opinions on the quality of the movie was uber boosted because of the 3d but I tell you I was wow'd the instant the little "please put on your 3d glasses" sign popped up. You can tell Im a newby to this experience. We didnt see it in imax though because we saw kung fu panda in imax and the screen was not the screen I was expecting, it was barely bigger than a normal theater screen..so not worth it.

I never really wanted to see Avatar, in fact it still feels funny calling it Avatar because Im a a nick Avatar fan..so its just odd but I figured I could easily enjoy the movie once we began watching it and I was right.

I love how the 3d wasnt like "LOOK AT THIS ARROW COMING AT YOU WOOOOSH" it was really natural. I think I spent half the movie taking my glasses on and off to see what it looked like with and without the glasses. There was one scene with Jake and Neytiri (is that her name? lol) were talking about flying banshees and for a brief moment I thought somebody in front of me had stood up and I started making those move out of the way hand motions but it was all in the movie. Ofcourse the little flies and bugs and ash and glowy objects also made you want to swipe them out of your face because for a second you think there is something actually in your face.

The 3d is really cool, its not just showing you floaty shiny objects but adding perspective to a movie. Characters sitting in a long isle or standing in a hall way really pop out and so do the leaves and bushes like they arent bound by the borders of the screen.

I wonder if the 3d made the navi look more realistic then they really do. The close up facial expressions were very cool.

That all being said, everybody knows the graphics are perty but everybody was complaining about the story. If you've seen Disneys Pocahontas or The Last Samurai you know exactly whats going to happen :P so the story isnt exactly an original one but other famous movies arent exactly unique either..like how star wars follows and just about everything else follows that classic heroes pattern. So I think we can get over it. Aside from that I didnt see anything else that harms the story. I think it was probably a bit preachy or cheesey but not overwhelmingly so. The worst you get is essentially "we're bonded for life" pssssht, how many times is that one used in fanfiction :P amirite /facepalm and move on. Although I thought the first transformers was alot of fun when I saw it in theaters but now I can barely stand it, my opinion on this movie could change if I saw it again without the fancy shmancy 3d.

Ya, so protip: when wearing 3D glasses do not turn your head sideways. If you dont have a headache like me by the end of the movie, then you definitely will then.

Oh and who also watched the Jack Bauer Show!? ya not much happened but I gleefully await the arrival of Tony..so much glee. He has to appear this season 8| I want an epic finale!

well, we tried that new dominos pizza the other day, cause they apparently changed their recipe. Cant say I noticed any real difference? There was garlic on the crust but I mostly ate the deepdish pizza, so I dont know how it compares with the regular old handtossed which we ordered as our second...we did notice that the pizza was alot greasier kinda like pizza hut which I do like 83 but Im not prone to tummy upsets like some other people.

They changed their cheese too which caused some confusion when we were ordering online. They had like..chedder and provolone and some others and we were just like "...I just want pizza cheese 8("

I dont think I ever considered dominos pizza sauce to be sweet unlike papa johns which tastes like coolaid and is why I dont eat there. I dont think I could tell you the difference between dominos, pizza hut and regular tomato sauce...so I noticed no difference in this new recipe.

I didnt notice any major change, just that they give you more options which made ordering confusing when we just wanted a simple pizza. Not that I ever disliked dominos to begin with, I personally still thought it was good but Pizza huts greasy pizza is still my uber fav lol.

Oh and I got my uniform scrubs back, Im so darned cuteness :3

I was out of the house at 6:15 this morning, got to the hospital at 6:45 and have been in class since. Got home around 3:30 then left to pick up Rachel at practice.

we did math, learned to make beds, bathe mannequins, life mannequins into chairs and wheelchairs and learned that House uses his cane wrong etc etc.

I did get a bag of nurse goodies with all sorts of cool stuff in it..stethoscrops, those knee hammer things and gauze and saline pouches and a foley catheter and enema kit.

Poor mum, Im going to monopolize her computer. I miss mine alot, I keep going halfway downstairs to my dungeon room and then I remember I dont have a computer..so then Im like "ffffffffffffffffff"

So I wrote 2 pages, front and back, of chapter outlines for nursing, since I cant bring myself to read textbooks. My teacher keeps encouraging us to try speed reading techniques but I cant do it..I need to listen to a lecture and take notes or copy notes from a ppt slide. We were given unit outlines of which I assume are of the important stuff! so I just expanded those outlines to full outlines. I can make it through chapters if Im searching for important stuff to write down. I made it through most of unit1, just have like 2 more chapters to go. Then supposed to start on unit2. Problem is I may run out of paper D: Ill not know if the information I feel sounds important is what the teachers are looking for until the first test but atleast Im retaining some information or am able to recognize some things.

Right now these chapters are all "nurses care for people and are understanding of ones cultural differences" so its not exactly like Im trying to memorize how to stick an IV or anything..so its just alot of words about being sympathetic or not being sympathetic. The test I guess could be anything like "give the exact definition the book gives on health" and you'll be like "ho-crap..I was supposed to remember the exact definition? this is supposed to be an easy question ;;"

first test panic syndrome? I just dont want to get blow an 83 on the first test.

I was half way expecting the snow to have melted this morning to aggravate me but it is still there. I was a little annoyed cause the dog is standing cross kneed and crying cause she had to pee and nobody who was up let her out...I kinda might have overslept >.> Ive been low on sleep this past week ;;

so I let Ms. Daisy out to the potty in the snow and theres a family at the top of the road at the corner of our front yard sliding down the road on sleds. We're on a pretty decent sized hill (TN doesnt believe in strait nonsteep or curvey roads) and they're just sliding and Im out there letting Daisy do her business so its kinda like Im intruding on their fun times.

well then their little boy was like "LOOK A DOGGY! can I pet it?" and the dad was like "nah I dont think the doggy wants to be pet" and the boy was insistent so who am I to not let Daisy receive love that she adores. So I said Ms. Daisy doesnt mind and she's very friendly and used to work in a daycare for a living. And that right there always gets peoples trust. So Daisy had a 4-6year old patting her and hugging her and Daisy just kept on sniffing the ground...she gave a kiss but she was obviously busy today and needed to sniff the ground. The kids asked how old she was and I told them 16 which sent them into doing math, they're like "SHE'S ANCIENT!" and their parents were like "omigosh, she's still able to walk D: and in good condition"

:3 so like my morning wasnt bad at all. I like bragging about my dog. I may have to try service dog training some day. I wouldnt mind bringing dogs to children and people in hospitals.
